Jean Pierre Peron, Ph.D is Prof. Associate of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo. He is currently studying the interactions between the central nervous system and the immune system through the presence of receptors for neurotransmitters, such as the glutamate receptor nmda, by cells of the immune system. In addition, it currently studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of microcephaly caused by zika virus in experimental models. Has a young researcher-fapesp research project. He has published 36 papers in periodicals such as Nature and Science. Dr. Jean is Researcher 2 of CNPq..
